2. Rifle Mountain Park

If you’re a climber that’s looking to step up your confidence on some classic hard routes, Rifle is the place for you. Since this place mainly consists of sport climbing with very few low-grade routes, climbers from all over the world come to test their skills. RMP has a few primitive campsites that are on a first come first serve basis.

3. Boulder Canyon

With over 1,700 total climbs in Boulder Canyon, this is the desired location for many locals and pros. Home of some of the true rock climbing classic routes, even if you’re a beginner Boulder Canyon is a must go. Only a 45-minute drive from Denver, camping is limited in the canyon, however, you’re only a short drive to Nederland which has ample camping, particularly Dahl Campground and Gross Reservoir.
