Explore Spring Wildflowers in a Campervan

Nothing says spring quite like blooming flowers. There are so many ways to enjoy the bright new colors, but ours is from the front seat of a campervan! No matter which location you pick, there is a spot to explore the beauty of spring. We have created a list of all the must-see destinations in each of our locations so you don’t miss your chance to get the most out of this beautiful season!  


Colorado

Crested Butte 
Distance from Denver Office: 232 miles – 4 hours 20 min
Where to Camp:
Brush Creek Dispersed—Located only 15 minutes outside the town of Crested Butte, this free campground offers stunning views. Sites are first come, first served, so get there early to secure your spot! 
Oh Be Joyful Recreation Area—For only $10 a night, this epic campground is located next to beautiful water features and has all the best amenities. From restrooms to picnic tables, you’re guaranteed to have a comfortable getaway. Note: The campground does close seasonally. Check to make sure it’s open when you go! 

Silverton
Distance from Denver Office: 360 miles – 6 hours
Where to Camp:
White River National Forest Peak – This campground is situated near a stunning lake and has 360 views. This spot does have a nightly fee. Additionally, it is a “one-night” campground unless you make a reservation online.
Rock Creek Dispersed Camping – This free campground is a great spot to camp for several nights. There are 24 sites to choose from, but they are all first come, first served. All designated sites are marked with a sign. Parking anywhere else may result in a citation.

Rocky Mountain National Park
Distance from Denver Office: 64 miles – 1 hour 30 min

Utah

Aspen Grove
Distance from Salt Lake City Office: 54 miles – 1 hour 40 min
Mount Timpanogos Campground – This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds we’ve explored. It is a first come, first served campsite that has the best amenities and spectacular views. It’s close to Mount Timpanogos, where you will find the best hikes full of wildflowers. 
Salamander Flat – This amazing dispersed campground connects to the Timpooneke trail and is surrounded by mountainous peaks. Get there early to secure a spot! 

Fishlake National Forest
Distance from Salt Lake City Office: 120 miles – 2 hours
Where to Camp:
Piute State Park – For only $8 a night, this amazing campground is quiet and perfect for a long getaway. It sits on a beautiful lake that is great for stand-up paddleboarding in the warmer months.
Gold Gulch Road – This free dispersed campground has recently been established, meaning there will be fewer people! If you decide to enjoy a quiet night here, make sure to leave a review on The Dyrt! 

Cedar Breaks National Monument
Distance from Salt Lake City Office: 253 miles – 3 hours 50 min
Where to Camp:
Cedar Breaks Camp—Cedar Breaks is a great spot to escape the crowds and embrace nature. This first-come, first-served campground offers a cozy night of sleep.
Mammoth Dispersed – This is another great free campground to explore. If you enjoy the smell of fresh pine, this is the spot for you! 


Arizona 

Catalina State Park 
Distance for Phoenix Office: 104 miles – 1 hour 45 min
Where to camp:
Catalina State Park – If you’re looking for a campground that has all the amenities, this is the one for you. From picnic tables to showers, this spot has it all. Not to mention the amazing views! Reservations are required here, so book early. 
Wishing Well RV Park – This is another great campground if you’re looking for amenities and amazing views. Just ensure you reserve your spot! 

Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument
Distance from Phoenix Office: 133 miles – 2 hours 14 min
Places to Camp:
Twin Peaks Campground – This is one of the more luxurious campgrounds that contain the best amenities. Prices vary from $25-$50 a night, depending on the time of year. You must make reservations prior to your stay.
Gunsight Wash BLM—This free campsite is only a few minutes outside of Organ Pipe. There is plenty of space to park, but make sure you rent a sunshade at pick-up since there is little coverage.   

Flagstaff
Distance from Phoenix Office: 152 miles – 2 hours 30 min
Place to Camp
Wing Mountain Dispersed Camping – This free campground is only 15 minutes away from Flagstaff and all the best hikes. There is plenty of space to roam and enjoy the fresh air. 
Greer’s Pine Shadows – This campground is perfect if you are looking for more amenities. With access to bathrooms and picnic tables, you’re sure to have an amazing time unwinding and enjoying the spring air. 


Nevada

Lake Mead
Distance from Vegas Office: 32 miles – 45min
Places to camp:
Emerald Caves Dispersed—This is a great dispersed campground with great amenities. It has a $25 fee and requires reservations, but the views are worth it.
Road Runner Cove – This campground is amazing if you want to be close to the water. With surrounding views and plenty of space, you’re guaranteed to have an epic time! Keep in mind that Lake Mead has plenty of surrounding campsites. You can always find more campsites around the lake that may be better suited for your specific itinerary. Valley of Fire
Distance from Vegas Office: 46 miles – 47 min
Where to camp:
Valley of Fire Dispersed – Free and easily accessible, this dispersed site is great for a night or more! Get cozy by the fire and enjoy the smell of blooming flowers.
Atlatl Rock Campground—This campground is the ultimate spot for a long adventure. For a small nightly fee, you have access to everything you need and more! Make sure to make your reservations ahead of time.

Mount Charleston
Distance from Vegas Office: 39 miles – 45 min
Where to camp:
Fletcher View—For a nightly fee of $33, this campground is a stunning escape. Nearby trailheads, picnic tables, and bathrooms are available. The hosts are also known for being some of the best!
