Capitol Reef National Park

Bicycle Tour
There is nothing like taking in the views of the park with a fresh breeze on your skin. Capital Reef has a plethora of bike-friendly roads to explore. If you choose to bike around the park, make sure you are always staying on paved roads to protect the land and wearing a helmet.

Night Sky Observing
Capital Reef has been a designated International Dark Sky Park since 2015.  This means that they have some of the best night sky viewings. You can set up one of your camping chairs (which is included in your van rental) under the stars, take some deep breaths, and enjoy the scenery.

Hiking
A campervan adventure is not complete without a beautiful hike. Here are some of the best ones in the park:
Goosenecks – 0.1 Mile
Grand Wash – 2.2 Miles
Chimney Rock Loop – 3.6 Miles

Salt Lake City – 223 miles
Denver – 432 miles
Las Vegas – 332 miles
Phoenix – 500 miles

Fruita Campground
This campground is the only one inside the park and has 71 spots, meaning a reservation is a must during the busy season, and should be booked months in advance. Reservations are required from March 1- October 31. First-come, first-serve camping is from November 1 – February 28. Campsites cost $25 a night. 

Singletree Campground
Situated in Torrey, just outside the park, Singletree Campground offers spacious sites with stunning views of the surrounding red cliffs. It provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation after exploring the park.

Overlook Point Dispersed Site
This dispersed camping area is only 15 minutes from the visitor center and is totally free! It is first-come, first-serve, so get there early to ensure a spot.
