Job Description

The Fleet Coordinator is a critical team member responsible for supporting the daily execution of fleet management across Native Campervans’ locations. This role focuses on optimizing vehicle repair workflows, managing preventative and reactive maintenance, and ensuring timely roadside and claims support. You’ll work cross-functionally with location operators, third-party vendors, and leadership to maintain high product standards while driving cost and process efficiencies.

  • Manage the Van Interior Repair Lifecycle
  • Manage and improve the scheduling, coordination, and execution of Native’s Maintenance Program in conjunction with the Budget
  • Claims Management
  • Roadside Assistance Support

Van Interior Repair Lifecycle

  • Own the end-to-end triage and resolution process for van repairs
  • Coordinate with on-the-ground operators to schedule and confirm repair completion
  • Maintain a tracking system for repair statuses and unresolved issues
  • Report monthly on van interior condition trends and key repair metrics
  • Develop initiatives to reduce repair frequency, cost, and turnaround time

Fleet Maintenance Coordination

  • Maintain and update the central operations calendar with Preventative Maintenance (PM) service schedules
  • Coordinate PM and Reactive Maintenance (RM) services with internal operators and third-party vendors
  • Track and escalate Critical Issues/Maintenance (CIM) items until resolved
  • Manage OEM recall coordination and ensure compliance across the fleet
  • Provide monthly reporting on trends, cost drivers, and efficiency improvements
  • Lead cost-reduction efforts by identifying and solving inefficiencies in the maintenance program

Claims Management

  • Ensure documentation is collected for all incidents (photos, forms, customer reports)
  • Serve as the point of contact for Native’s Claims Management Partner
  • Track the progress and resolution of claims and associated repairs (Customer and Vendor Claims)

Roadside Assistance Support

  • Respond to escalated roadside events and communicate with field mechanics
  • Make informed decisions about whether vehicles are safe to remain on the road
  • Document roadside events and communicate internally as needed

Other Responsibilities

  • Support cross-departmental process improvement initiatives
  • Perform internal vehicle relocations when needed
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and company initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, fleet coordination, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable using digital tools (calendars, task boards, spreadsheets, Slack, etc.)
  • Familiarity with vehicle repair processes and vendor coordination is a plus
  • Ability to occasionally lift 25–40 lbs and travel for site visits or van relocations

  • Starting pay: $50,000 (full-time, non-exempt role)
  • Remote role with occasional on-site visits needed
