Mesa Verda National Park

Cliff Dwelling Tours
Mesa Verda is known for having unique cliffs to explore. You can only enter the cliff dwellings with a ticket, so make sure you buy one online or at the visitor center! The tours are open from May 14 – October 21. 

Mesa Top Loop Hike and Audio Tour
This hike is unlike any you’ve been on before. It is a 6-mile hike through 700 years of Ancestral Pueblo history. The best part? You can listen to TJ Atsye audio tour while exploring. She is a direct descendant of the original Pueblo people and gives a plethora of information on this beautiful hike. 

Cultural Dance and Demonstration
Mesa Verde hosts cultural dances and performances demonstrated by members of the Pueblos and other Tribes connected to Mesa Verde. This is a great way to experience the cultures of Native Americans and help maintain important cultural connections with Native people.

Morefield Campground
This campground is just 4 miles from the park and has over 267 sites. It has all the amenities one needs. Reservations are required for this campsite, so book in advance. This site is closed from October 27- April 28 and on some holidays, so check before your adventure. Note this is a more expensive campground.

Mancos State Park
Situated near Mesa Verde, Mancos State Park provides beautiful lakeside camping opportunities. It offers both tent and RV sites with stunning views, picnic areas, and water activities like fishing and boating.

Mesa Verde National Park Boundaries (BLM)
This is one of the best spots for camping if you’re visiting Mesa Verde. This BLM land is first-come, first-served, so you want to get there early. Unlike the other campsites, it doesn’t have any amenities, so you will get the rugged camping experience.
