Road-trips are the perfect occasion to relax and discover new horizons. On top of knowing where you are going, you might also want the right tools, tricks, or tips to make things even more enjoyable. Below are our 10 must-have Vanlife items that are fun to have for your next road trip.

    Solar Shower

Staying clean while traveling on the road can be a challenge. If you’re not into campgrounds and don’t want to spend time finding a gym or a truck stop to get that dirt off, here’s an idea: a solar shower! Good news: these babies are available for rent when booking your trip with us.

    Coffee Maker

Oh yeah, our campervans come with a fully equipped kitchen area with a two-burner propane stove. However, we noticed some people are heavy coffee drinkers, and that’s why all rentals include a Percolator and/or French Press. Perfect for vanlifers who love a quick coffee in the morning to fuel the adventure waiting.

    Head Lamp

There will come a time when you will want to do the dishes on the picnic table of your camping spot… at 11:45 PM. The only problem is you probably won’t see anything in the middle of the night. That’s why we strongly suggest you carry with you a headlamp. It’s pretty straightforward to use, and it will turn any dark and scary forest into a cozy and bright living room!

    Hammock

You might ask: “why would I need this on the road?”, but here’s the answer: portable hammocks —which can make your day that much more relaxing. Whether you’re heading to a campsite, park, mountain, or beach, portable hammocks are extremely comfortable, lightweight, and easy to use. A no-brainer!

    Rumpl Blanket

Because your comfort is our priority, all campervans are equipped with a Rumpl blanket. This Original Puffy outdoor blanket is packable, portable, and goes everywhere. With a ripstop shell and insulation made from 100% recycled materials, it’s warmer and more durable than ever, and it will surely keep you warm at night.

    Axe + Shovel

How do s’mores, marshmallows, and sausages on the campfire sound? Pretty nice, right? If you’re into making fires at night while listening to your favorite tunes, you will want to bring an axe on the road: an easy and quick way to get the good vibes going.  Check out this dual-threat here.

    Portable Toilet

Wondering where you will do your #1s and #2s on the road? Not sure if you’re in the mood to look for campgrounds, recreational parks, truck stops, or any other store to do your business? Why not purchase a portable toilet with you on the road? Many of them don’t require chemicals, take little space in a van and, are very easy to use. Think about it!

    Compact Towel

Because you want to maximize the space in your luggage, but mostly because you want them to dry fast, get a compact, non-cotton towel for your journey on the road. Something like the PackTowl Luxe Quick Dry Microfiber Towel, for example, will dry you off in a matter of seconds, will take no space, and, surprisingly, they don’t stink!

    Camping Chair

Because nothing beats breakfast in the wild, a nap in the sun, or a dinner by the river, all vans are equipped with camping chairs. Woop Woop! Don’t get us wrong, we love being in the van, but spending time outside, near a picnic table, or even around a campfire is priceless.

    Bluetooth Speaker

Because every good road trip needs a soundtrack, we include a Bluetooth speaker in every van.

These are the little things that go a long way. Grab what you need, hit the road, and make the most of your time out there.
