Arizona Hot Springs Road Trip - Native Campervans

Arizona Hot Springs Road Trip

Arizona is the perfect place to explore in a campervan rental. Nothing beats cruising around this unique state; from the Grand Canyon to Sedona to Flagstaff, there is always something to see. An underrated Arizona activity is hot springs! If you’re in northern Arizona, the weather can get chilly at night, but soaking in a hot spring provides warmth and relaxation after a long day of adventure. Next time you’re exploring this great state, check out these hot springs!

Arizona Hot Springs

Arizona Hot Springs is one of the most well-known springs in Arizona. However, getting there isn’t for the faint of heart. The 5-mile out-and-back hike takes you down a 20-foot ladder and has a 750-foot elevation change. This hike is well worth it. The hot springs can reach temperatures up to 111-120 degrees Fahrenheit. Enjoy the beautiful Arizona geological features as you tread to the cozy hot springs. Always remember to bring water with you for any adventure!

El Dorado Hot Springs

These hot springs are privately owned and located only an hour west of Phoenix. This hot spring allows you to drive right up to the pools, and no hiking is involved! This rustic destination is a great place to stop after a day of activities. There are even options to reserve a private tub!

Essences of Tranquility

Essences of Tranquility is a great spa and hot spring destination. It has multiple tubs, both communal and private. The spa costs $15 an hour per person or $25 for two hours. This getaway is open Tuesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Note: You must be 13 years or older.

Kaiser Hot Springs

These epic pools are 125 miles northwest of Phoenix and require a short 1.5-mile hike. A few spots within the hike involve scrambling, but nothing a great adventurer can’t handle! This spring receives 12 gallons of water a minute directly from the rocks above and gets up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Verde Hot Springs

Verde Hot Springs is another iconic place to relax. The history of these hot springs is captivating! They are the remnants of an old 1920s resort. The resort has succumbed to a devastating fire, but it left behind the foundation for all the spring! There are multiple pools to explore, all varying in temperature. Enjoy this unique destination with amazing views of Arizona.
