Dune Driving
White Sands has a stunning 8-mile scenic road to drive through the dunes. Additionally, this road also has pull-off spots to enjoy a hike or picnic.
Sledding
Most people think sledding is a winter activity, but you can actually do it year-round! Sand has a different texture than snow, so having the right equipment is important. You’ll need to make sure you have a waxed plastic saucer sled, and if you don’t have one, you can purchase it at the park’s gift shop. Make sure your sledding path does not cross any roads!
